i didn't know doug
personally, but my family has been the recipient of his warm hospitality
on many occasions. on my first trip to st john, i took some time out
to go around the island and capture some of the "local color."
my tripod was all set to snap this scene, all i needed was the right
person to walk by. then suddenly, out of nowhere, doug pops into the
frame and i snapped away. there couldn't have been a more perfect addition
to the shot! our thoughts are with doug's family...he will be missed.

Doug will be missed
by all in Coral Bay and all over St. John. He was always eager for an
update on our kids Ashley & Jackie, our health, or the boat. His
smile and friendliness always warmed our hearts. We always loved sharing
stories about Christopher and our kids, all now at college and doing
so well. Christopher, please know how much he loved you and how proud
he was of you. Mary Pat, we will keep you in our thoughts and Doug in
our smiling memories. With sympathy, Jan, Jug, Ashley & Jackie Courlas
Our deepest sympathy to the Sica Family,
and all the great people at "Skinny Legs". Doug was a great
guy and we will all miss him. It was always a pleasure to be in his
company. Rosemary & Barry Benes
My thoughts are with
you, Moe and all the folks at Skinnys as you are feeling the loss of
your friend and mine.- Brad Felmly
Our condolences to
all the Skinny Legs Family, of which we consider oourselves a part.
Been coming down for about 10 years and Doug was always the gracious
host. We enjoyed our "chats" with him. We're so glad to have
had a "last chat" just 8 weeks ago. We will miss him. - Sonny
and Pam Rapozo
